Twelve miniature medieval knights mark the hours on the latest ultra-limited watch from Roger Dubuis. Originally used for making 3D models and scenes for videogames, ‘low poly art’ is a technique in which polygonal facets are used to create sculptures or paintings. The watch brand’s reputation for using ‘disruptive materials’ is thus expressed, with each highly detailed mini-knight adding to the 45 hours that it takes to complete and assemble each dial. Just 28 of these watches are being issued.
Ensuring both precision and reliability, self-winding Calibre RD 821 – an exclusive in-house movement such as those equipping all Roger Dubuis timepieces – drives the hour and minute functions while delivering a 48-hour power reserve.
